got it in 2019 and it came in a little pouch, looked kind of unprofessional and was already suspicious of it's quality. but it seemed air-tight, so heres a picture of the pouch i took 3yrs ago:

as you can see in the photo above, 3yrs ago it was clumped to the right side, and only a few grains moved to the left side. but the SN became looser over the years and can now move around the pouch more freely, lots of it swooshing around to the left side. im not sure if any good amount of air got into it. so i decided to take some out and test it with the blood test.

i read it's supposed to turn chocolate syrup brown to be good. mine looked kind of dark, i think it's good. just want some other opinions to confirm

As far as I can see it looks darker and brown. I assume there is no expiry date and no analysis on the pouch. How did you store it, on a cool dry place not exposed to sunlight ? I would feel safer if the pouch had these indications. I think I would order new SN, but this time with analysis and manufacturer name on the product.

I think looking at some of the blood it's too red for me. Blood naturally goes brown on paper/tissue after a bit of time anyway.

I would say go order new SN from IC.

kept it in the back of my clothes drawer. this pouch was just my backup SN, after i saw the pouch it felt sketchy so i bought a second one from a better source which is now my main one and is in a sealed bottle with manufacturer name on it with an expiry date. its almost near that date, so i am looking for a new batch if possible. but if i cant find any then i heard that SN is good indefinitely as long as its sealed up and stored properly

i only opened the pouch SN to test cause that was my backup and i got curious, plus i dont care too much if i screwed it up since i have a better one in sealed bottle. but as for the sealed bottle one i don't dare to test until the day i need to actually use it. the sealed bottle looks really professionally packaged and it came from a chemical supply company and back then many people on this forum recommended that one, so im confident its good. but i still want a fresh batch if possible but currently cant find any

Same!!!!!

I'm just so glad you didn't use your 3 yr old toddler for the test. 😆😳

Also… it may still be fine, but it's probably safer to just order a new batch.
Edit: never mind I just read you have another product that is sealed and high quality. Good good. Best of luck!

Yeah i personally would not use 3 year old SN, there is a high risk it wont work and i would want to be as sure as possible.

I would stick with the bottle you have that is professional and looks legit with the label etc.

You could be on the safe side and not use it. But considering how we're essentially suicide method pioneers, I encourage you to try it (when your time comes) and then others could learn from your experience

It is turning your blood dark brown (almost black). To me, I think your SN in the pouch is fine believe it or not. It takes years for Nitrite to turn to Nitrate, and it wouldn't all turn at once either. I honestly think your pouch is fine. I too have two sources, one sealed in a 2lb bottle, the other sealed in a baggy. When I choose to die, I'll be using the one in the baggy first. Hopefully that will work.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I'm like I need to finish my coffee because I did a double take on that title.

I think your SN was legitimate, you can see the difference in the 2 bloodstains. I too would have been a bit wary of the packaging. but good thing you have a bottle-sealed backup. They say that it lasts for many years if it is sealed and in a dark, dry and cool place.
