Aside from that, I'm wondering if you've researched and planned the method, and whether you've considered the outcomes if you don't die, like hospitalization, psych hospitalization, scars, etc.

Half of the blood needs to be lost to die from it which is hard to accomplish.
You can still die as long as you're alone for enough time. A month is more than enough.
