What u need to know?
I'm a crypto investor so can advise.
Coinbase will be easiest but find decent wallet to store.
Many free wallets online that are good enough. However if investing a sizeable amount then invest in a nano ledger.
Never leave anything on an exchange unless trading. I recently lost a lot when cryptopia gone done.
Is there a reason you're choosing btc? Personally I'd say go for ETN as that's half a cent and on cusp of explosion

Oh taking it he needs to pay for something with btc then? Just coinbase and ping to their wallet from there then. Source still the same

It's just to make a purchase. I'm just not very good with things like that but someone had kindly talked me through it. Thanks.
