Birthday in almost a week’s time (Monday 4th of November) - I think I’m going to ctb then

I feel bad bc I know some people have got me presents but I heard that it's a good idea to ctb on your birthday so then your family are only mourning you on one date instead of two. I very specifically said I didn't want anything for my birthday and to just put some money in a birthday card instead so this way people can either have the money back or it can go to my family.

In terms of the time I'm going to ctb do you guys think it would be better to do it in the early hours of the morning so I don't get to spend the birthday with my family or should I do it during the night after I've spent the day with them? I know the latter would be nicer for my family but it'll be unbearable for me and I definitely won't be able to stop myself from breaking down in tears.

My method is full suspension hanging fyi, not that it matters.

I think you answered your own question. How will you explain your tears to your family?? Will they figure out what you are up to and call for professional help?? Or talk you into turning yourself in to get help??

I wish I could help you but this is one of those questions you are gonna have to work out for yourself. However, I do wish you the best and hope, no matter what you decide, that you find peace and happiness in your decision.

When I'm seriously planning a date, I personally do feel a need to see some of the people close to me one last time. I guess my way of saying goodbye is just trying to make their last memory with me a good one.
But it's a personal choice, as it does sometimes make it harder to go through. I've cancelled a few attempts because of that.
