I've read and heard yellow botot or honey should be the best way to disguise the taste of liquid N. Do anybody have other suggestions?
Sorry about my typos aboveHalf Levaquin antibiotic damage and late-stage Lyme disease I am sensitive to so many additives and supplements. I can't use honey as that makes me feel horrible. Or swish a little Baileys Irish Cream before and after? Is that possible? I know if I swish a little. down afterwards it would have to be immediate since I will become very sleepy. I talked to a couple friends who did a sleep test. One of them told me that the taste is absolutely horrendous. He said I should do a sleep test to acclimate myself to the taste beforehand. But I'm so clumsy with my illness that I'm afraid I might mess something up. He said that he is afraid that I might gag trying to drink two or three gulps to get the two bottles down. He said he's afraid I might gag with the taste being so horrendous. Thanks for any feedback on other methods that haven't been discussed in terms of options for minimizing the taste.
Thank you for your honest reply. Did you feel like you had to gag to get the taste out? I wonder if some fruit punch or Baileys Irish Cream would help immediately afterwards? Chocolate is a good idea but it makes my neuropathy explode. For some reason honey makes me feel incredibly sick. Stevia makes me have a die-off reaction from my lyme disease so I can't do that so I don't have a whole lot of options. Thanks anybody for any feedbackThe aftertaste is worse than the taste itself. I've tasted it and was like "this isn't as bad as they say", then two seconds later was like "get it out, get it out!" - there's no way to mitigate this other than chase it with chocolate. If there was an effective way someone would have publicised it by now.
Very deep aftertaste, feels too far down the throat to gag, is just indescribably foul but can definitely see why the old timers at dignitas are encouraged to get it down them sharpish and then immediately chase it away - I'd be worried less about mitigating the taste as it goes down and more about wasting no time chasing it. Have chocolate close at hand and use a chocolate liqueur, like baileys, if you're taking alcohol too.Thank you for your honest reply. Did you feel like you had to gag to get the taste out? Thanks for this information. I can't do chocolate as I mentioned above during my illness with my severe chronic pain. It would makes my neuropathy so much worse. I will have to figure out some sort of food substance that I can take. I was thinking about fruit punch but maybe that wouldn't be good. Straw is a bad idea as it slows the swallowing down, meaning the aftertaste will kick in while you are still drinking it. Big gulps are probably better, get as much down as possible before you get the kickback. This is something I see coming up all the time. I don't think mixing something sweet will help much imo. And also not convinced that using something like lidocaine beforehand will either.
Use a straw, to avoid having it in the mouth as much as possible, drink it quickly and then chase it with something to help wash away the aftertaste. Like @Chinaski said, chocolate or irish cream liquer are good options. Find something pleasant that you can chase it with if those aren't options.
I see what youre saying, but I love making carrot juices and I drink them with this big fat plastic straw, I was surprised to find I can drink the whole thing way faster with the straw.Straw is a bad idea as it slows the swallowing down, meaning the aftertaste will kick in while you are still drinking it. It says in the pphIf I can help a little bit oh, a little bit is probably better than nothing I would imagine. I don't know. Also, I am going to fast for the day but I read that it it's good to have a piece of toast beforehand. I wonder how soon before drinking the N for the piece of toast?
