most knots will work just fine to secure the rope, just make sure whatever you secure it to can support you wight

Drop hanging puts an incredible amount of stress on the tie-off point snd the rope. Maybe just try stepping off a chair. Even a small step will cinch up a good slip knot snd knock you out quickly.Similar threads
