I used benzodiazepines for a long time, they really work well, but you adapt to the medication quickly.

How much time and dosage? I'm on 0,5mg of clonazepam for 6 years I think. I can't stop. Have you tried to stop?

I used Alprazolam and reached the maximum dosage of 2 mg in about 2 years. Alprazolam has a half-life of 12 hours, so I started having anxiety attacks when the half-life ended and the maximum dose had already lost its effect. After that, I switched to other benzodiazepines to help me sleep until I got to flunitrazepam, and over time even that lost its effect. One day I decided to stop, but I made the stupid mistake of stopping completely all at once, and that really messed me up. If I can give you some advice, it's not to stop benzodiazepines completely all at once. Seek a doctor who will help you with the weaning process.

Thank you for the reply.

I never increased my dosage, it was always 0.5mg since the beginning.

I built some tolerance of course, it doesn't have the same effect as before. But I just hold up, I had nights of insomnia but still, never increased it.

Sometimes I think it's not worth to stop taking it, not sure if I could handle life without being under effect of some benzo.

They are great but be careful with them, sometimes they can some serious problems when you decide to get off them. I use lorazepam as a sleeping aid but I try to have as many days of not using it as possible. When I do use it, it helps me sleep so much. But it's all drugs, so be careful.

I used to love getting high off benzos, made me feel so relaxed and care free.

Blacking out was a little terrifying though.

I was on relanium in the past and I was on lorazepam recently. it's working great but very easy to become psysically addicted and withdrawls are not worth it

Tapering off for the 4th time within 2 years of lorezepam. They are very good in shutting the world down but getting off is a bit of a grind.
