Out of any personal experience, how effective is this on someone who's depressed? Has this helped or made it worse?
Not talking about anything too extreme like being forced into a mental ward or something like that. More along the lines of being pressured into things like doctor appointments and therapy out of the person's own comfort.

I think it depends a lot on the people, their relationship, how they're being pressured, if the other person backs off when need and other surrounding circumstances. For myself personally my friends have a lot more leeway with that kind of stuff than my family ever would. I think in general forcing someone into things they're actively against is more likely to be counterproductive though. Even more so if that thing requires their active participation

While I understand the desire to get someone to seek help, anyone pressured to do something against their will is not likely to succeed.
Is this something you would consider doing on your own? If it is, they are not helping. If it is not, they are still not helping.
