• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Have you ever thought or tried to live begging or busking on the streets ?

This is something I want to experience before ctb…Is there a reliable country to live like this ?

Please let me know your thoughts about it.

I used to think about it. It seems too risky to me. Where I live, such people are not welcome and are often mistreated, probably because many people lie about the purpose of their fundraising. It is more profitable for me to receive accommodation and food in exchange for housework, childcare or other.

I'm in Canada and I used to busk outside liquor stores for liquor money. All very straight forward stuff. And we just got plastered all the time. The drunker you get, the better you play, you know?

There have been multiple people who have tried this as an experiment, and all of them that I've seen said that it was harrowing. People would utterly ignore them as if they were not even there. This is why I always at least acknowledge a homeless person who asks me for money, even if I have nothing to give them.

I'd rather die a brutal and painful death than live a life begging on the streets. Absolutely not.

what about begging for die...I was thinking about to carry a poster asking, for ex., "help me to die peacefully" other than asking for money

Because homelessness would be absolutely pointless for me. I'm miserable enough.

Hi, I was homeless for the last year - in and out of hotels and the street. I would say it can be moving when people bring you a cup of tea or hot chocolate or something. I was sometimes handed a note. I don't know if that's because I'm a woman or if that happens to everyone. I wonder what makes people give to certain homeless people.

I know crackheads who would go out begging all day who were very good at it. Not saying all homeless people were crackheads - just one I met when I was homeless who let me stay in his flat. He was a victim of SA and his addictions were a way to cope. He was a really kind person.

Busking - you can give it a try.

Homeless people are 40 % more likely to be victims of violence. Lots of homeless people I met had been robbed - phone, debit card, ID documents. So it's not the safest thing to do.

You might find other homeless people you like and a bit of a community. I don't think I really did that, but that could be a way to do it. Plus homeless drop in centres etc.

You could try different areas - wealthy areas and more regular areas.
