I'm currently planning my funeral. I want a natural burrial, no coffin, an unmarked grave. Luckily this is allowed where I live. Let nature retake me. Wild flowers sprout from me. Worms and maggots feast upon me. A tree's massive roots embrace me.

I love plants. There's a Monstera peru standing next to my bed. I haven't watered it in months. It's hanging on but slowly dying. Maybe we'll go together.

Daughter - Smother
I should go now quietly
For my bones have found a place
To lie down and sleep
Where all my layers can become reeds
All my limbs can become trees
All my children can become me
What a mess I leave
To follow

That sucks. Where I live there are special natural burial sites. It's a quite recent development. They look nothing like a regular graveyard. They're basically forests, heathland, bogland, depending where you go. All with unmarked graves scattered randomly. Nature is allowed to do its thing. So people don't have to be sad when they visit my grave, they can just enjoy the surroundings. Maybe have a nice picnic on my grave.

By the way, nasi goreng is a quite popular take away dish where I live.

That sounds amazing. Maybe my ashes can be taken and buried in nature somewhere beautiful. Are you from Indonesia?

That is a nice idea. Despite my negative feelings towards existence, I do find nature to be quite beautiful. I will probably just be cremated once I die.

Downside is it's quite pricey. This place is densely populated so plots of land are expensive, so I guess that's fair. Burying cremated remains in a nice spot is a great idea as well. I prefer my corpse to be buried as-is, so nature can take back all the nutrients. Give the bottom crawlers something to eat. Maybe in fall some nice mushrooms will pop up.

No I'm Dutch. We have a lot of Chinese-Indonesian restaurants. In the beginning of the 20th century there was a wave of Chinese immigrants. They couldn't find employment due to racism, so a lot of them started a restaurant. Then later, after the war a lot of Indonesian people came to the Netherlands. The Chinese restaurant owners, seeing how popular the Indonesian food was, hired Indonesian chefs. So that's where we get these peculiar Chinese-Indonesian fusion restaurants from. They're a cultural phenomenon around here, Chin. Ind. Spec. Rest. as they are called. They adapted their dishes to the local taste, different vegetables, less spices, more fat, sweeter. If you're from Indonesia you'd probably don't like the dish we call nasi goreng, haha.

I think its gonna be pretty expensive here to, either way. And I dont think it would be legal to bury a coffin somewhere random in nature, so I would have to be cremated to do that.
Oh okay, that is interesting I did not know that. I would definitively try it if I go over there some time. Haha they do the same in Indonesia at touristic restaurants, and I really prefer the local food it is the best. Im not from Indonesia but I used to live there before.

That's been a fantasy of mine for a while. I prefer natural burials or cremation, being buried in a stuffy coffin seems terrible. But being buried under a tree seems great. I always liked the idea of being buried under a fruit tree.
