Hi everyone

so last night I discovered beachy head !! I have never heard of it before, seems popular for CTB and it's too high so it's a 100% method

two months ago jumping or hanging was a no no for me, I didn't even think about it

but now as SN and other more peaceful options are not available (thanks to pro-life idiots) I have to !!

who's the same ?

maybe we can build a trusted relationship and CTB together ?

I ordered SN but not sure if it will arrive safely !!

It's always good to have a back up method. My BU is hanging with a drop and SN.
Have you tried the partners mega-thread?

There are patrols there that specifically look for jumpers and try to stop them. 24/7

Beachy head is a strong 2nd option for me. Im luckily only about 20 miles from there and I also have SN ready to go.
the patrols haven't been as regular as they used to be.
im coming up for a year since my wonderful wife kicked me out and that's the day I plan to CTB as this week she told me there is no going back EVER.
that me done

We should all turn up and go over like a bunch of lemmings. They'd never stop us. We'd be an unstoppable suicidal human snowball.

In fairness, they don't. They are volunteers- they mean well.

I went to Beachy Head at the end of last year at twilight and no patrols even came near me. I was right by the cliff-edge near the red and white light house looking miserable for half an hour or so. I'd seen the patrol cars all parked in the pub car park on the way there. (I think that's where they congregate) I didn't jump as for one reason and another it wasn't the right time.. more just checking out how I felt about the height etc. Those patrols are volunteers and they definitely can't watch over that whole stretch of cliff effectively 24/7. Honestly I don't even think that's a factor worth consideration.

I don't know what they expect to do anyway. It's not as if they would be allowed to tackle you to the ground and cuff you. That's one way of getting your head kicked in.

You were there for 30 minutes. I am not sure how you can say it's not a factor even worth consideration when I, myself, have been removed from beachy head by police that they alerted after going there to jump, but you're entitled to your opinion.

To anyone else considering, they can't physically stop you of course but it's not an ideal atmosphere to try to concentrate on killing yourself when people are talking you down and won't leave for as long as you're there.

Exactly the same! SN + Travelodge was my Plan A, but lockdown 2.0 happened and it became harder to get SN, and then lockdown 3.0 happened and SN is impossible now.

Beachy is my Plan Z (for when I'm eventually evicted and homeless). I've read so many stories about jumping points. I'm super scared of heights but I've also read reports (from the guardians) about people driving off so... :shrugs

Can you imagine? :pfff:

I'm just saying if I'd have gone there ready to jump it would have been easy. The patrols aren't a barrier to that. There are so many people jogging or walking up there.. who's to say any of them couldn't just suddenly throw themselves off? It's a long stretch of cliff and I guess you j

Fair enough. I think you were really unlucky though. X

How did you feel about the height?

What is the appeal of jumping into water? It sounds more painful than a hard surface. Still hard but maybe not enough to kill on impact. This golden gate survivor described it like hitting concrete. And then if you survive that bit you end up drowning, in saltwater, and your lungs fill up with blood. I suppose its less of a chance of squishing some poor fucker and mildly less gruesome for onlookers but as a participant, cannot see the appeal.

Fucking high!!! And that I'd need something to deal with SI! But that place would still be my choice.

An awful lot of people have succeeded at BH. You might want to look it up. Beautiful area.

Agree. I was there several times for hours. They only come and look for you if you leave a car in one of the designated parking spaces after dark. Otherwise you are all undisturbed for as long as you like
