Banned on suspicion of being an alt

Hi,

I was banned by @Meretlein on suspicion that this is an alt account. I can absolutely guarantee that this is the only account I have ever had and there must be some sort of misunderstanding. I would really like to know what prompted this suspicion so I can clear this up.
