In the digital age it only seems fitting to adapt the course of an old-fashioned note written with pen left on the bedside table when you enevitabley choose to CTB. (not knocking everyone has there own personal preference), but personally I think there is something very engaging and long-lasting in a text message. However no one wants to prematurely give away their plans to loved ones (or intended suicide note readers) for CTB before executing them. In a recent update Apple added a 1st party app called "Shortcuts" which lets you automate text messages through setting a timer. Im thinking of using this to my advantage but am curious if their are any alternatives or better ways of going about this? Also do you think this is a trend which is catching on and will it ever overtake the old-school way of leaving your final goodbyes?

With Gmail you can schedule an email to be sent hrs, days, weeks later

From personal experience, "Shortcuts" will not work to send a delayed text. All it will do is pop up something on your phone that you have to hit to make it send, totally defeating the purpose. Even if you leave the phone plugged in, unlocked, screen on, it still won't work. I switched to using EM Client which is a free email client that has a simple way to send a delayed email.

What happened to the old fashioned art of hand writing a letter? In all seriousness the gmail scheduled send is neat, I think Outlook and the web-based version also allows it, come to think of it I expect most do now.
