• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I think aspergers is one of the things that has helped humans become so advanced, only those on the spectrum could have the dedication and obession needed to make the sort of discoveries humans have made over the centuries, but it comes at a cost.
People have said that plenty of times. That implies those of us who suffer without contributing to "innovation" should just be accepted as collateral damage. If so they should give autistic people the option of assisted dying.

The benefits that obsessive behaviour around a subject or skill gives is just a useful byproduct that, to be honest, the rest of society exploits. Even then some of the skills we value make no sense, why to we value someone being able to kick or throw a ball accurately? It seems like the luck of the draw if you're particular talents are seen as "useful".

I don't disagree that people with Asperger's or other personality condition are generally treated very poorly. I've got no answer for it other than continuing to try to find like minded people, I have many friends on the Asperger's end of the spectrum, but I suspect I am a bit myself.

Society generally is an ugly beast.

Aspergers feels like being trapped in a box all the time.. you are so isolated and alone, nothing ever feels right.. I stopped talking out loud many years ago.. now I live alone for many years and I just sleep

I was autistic too, well I guess technically I still am, but guess what, I grew out of it. You need to try really hard to discover yourself, try to socialize with others by any means necessary, stop caring about what others think of you and basically build a strong sense of security over yourself. If you're brave enough to face suicide, then comparatively socializing with others should be a joke to you. I know that it's not a very healthy advice, but drink some alcohol sometimes, it'll boost your confidence 10 times. I'm not sure, maybe your autism was way worse than mine or maybe you don't know how to cope with it, but it's definitely "curable" in a sense that it's just all in your head, you just need to learn to suppress it.
I am really quite a tolerant person, but jeez, i think there are cases when speaking (or writing) should be a privilege, not a right!!!

Being on the spectrum of stupidity is not the same as being on the autistic spectrum.
