If only. The chance is so slim. In my misery sometimes I dream of global catastrophe.

Stop teasing us, universe. Just hit us all with an asteroid and be done with it. Nobody loses if everyone dies at the same time.

When I was a young postpunk kid in highschool, I used to wear ripped and written jeans.
My favourites said "All I need is a meteor"

I often dream of this happening, so that we can all go without the guilt of leaving behind hurt loved ones (selfish, I know). Except my fantasy is just something that wipes out just humans, and the rest of the animals and plants on the planet are safe (the earth would be so much better without us).

I strongly agree

Not anywhere near big enough for a global catastrophe. Big enough for a few of us but there are easier ways.

No doubt Ben Affleck will come to our "rescue"
It will only hit America anyway , everything hits America on every disaster movie i have seen anyway , then the 20 year old experts will evert disaster once the have found the disgraced middle age scientist who said it would happen several years ago and now lives in a cabin with no communications but holds the key to survival , this is the same plot for every low grade disaster movie on Horror channel be it earthquake , volcano , hurricane , tsunami , asteroid and to add tension his daughter is usual in the path of it so he has to find and save her 1st

It would be a shitty way for people to die though... If it crashes into an ocean, it will create massive tsunami waves and people will drown to death. I highly doubt being near where it hits on land, will be painless. Then the Earth's atmosphere will become covered in debris and dust etc. So that means, no more sun light. All life that creates oxygen will die. All the survivors will suffocate to death in freezing temperatures. Only people living in special domes will be able to sit back and relax. I'd rather have an asteroid that breaks apart while passing through the atmosphere and then showers the entire world with N from outer space.

I wish. I know it would be a painful death, but I would find it rather comforting knowing that my life would be over for good with no chance of failing to die.
