I still don't get how people can enjoy drinking so much. Most alcoholic drinks are either trash or subpar at best. Being buzzed isn't even fun. It's boring.A considerable amount a number may quote
I get that, my relationship with it is kinda half and halfHonestly, the only somewhat enjoyable aspect of alcohol is its self-destructive effects. Otherwise, it's boring and overrated.
Idk, distraction maybe. For me that's what it often boils down to.I still don't get how people can enjoy drinking so much. Most alcoholic drinks are either trash or subpar at best. Being buzzed isn't even fun. It's boring.
I honestly thought that I was going to start coping by drinking after the first time I got really drunk. I liked how destructive it was. It was alluring.I get that, my relationship with it is kinda half and half
I like the odd drink for the sake of drinking especially if I'm watching a film (4 down rn watching lost highway), but I often find myself drinking when I'm more sad than usual to try and distract me, so self destructive in nature
went looking for libs today for my gf. didn't find any sadly… bit too early in the season.I honestly thought that I was going to start coping by drinking after the first time I got really drunk. I liked how destructive it was. It was alluring.
Now I just want to get more into psychedelics and maybe also try some amanita. I think that the ways in which psychedelics interact with the body is very interesting. I want to study it.
Shrooms are really easy to get where I live since you can just purchase them from a dispensary. Part of why I decided to take cognitive neuroscience due to my interest in, not just how the brain works, but also because I'm hoping that it'll allow me to better understand how they interact with the brain. We actually discussed them quick a bit in social psych, specifically when talking about the self. Tbh, a lot of psychology is heavily intertwined with neuroscience.went looking for libs today for my gf. didn't find any sadly… bit too early in the season.
I'm not too well versed in the science behind it I just do drugs sometimes and am off rn. But yea I agree it's interesting, like DMT for example and how many people see the same elves, I don't get it but it's interesting.
Interesting stuff, I'm in the UK which is shit, very conservative with our drug laws. However I'm glad libs come out naturally every autumn, can go pick them.Shrooms are really easy to get where I live since you can just purchase them from a dispensary. I'm in Canada which makes getting your hands on certain drugs really easy. I want to get a PO box so that I can buy some lsd online.Interesting stuff, I'm in the UK which is shit, very conservative with our drug laws. However I'm glad libs come out naturally every autumn, can go pick them.
What does Cognitive neuroscience involve? Excuse my naivety as I realise the subject is likely something that can't just be explained easy, but as an overall, what does It include?
Sounds like something that would go way over my heads tbh. Sounds interesting though.I'm in Canada which makes getting your hands on certain drugs really easy. I want to get a PO box so that I can buy some lsd online.
Cognitive neuroscience involves a lot of shit revolving around different aspects of brain anatomy, how the brain works, how different regions of the brain relate to cognition, and disorders associated with impairments to function (TBIs, strokes, neurodegenerative disorders, etc). I'm honestly shit with descriptions.
It's a pain in the ass and I'm pretty sure I failed my first midterm (I barely answered quite a few of the questions on it) but it's also incredibly interesting.
Honestly, most of it goes over my head, lolSounds like something that would go way over my heads tbh. Sounds interesting though.
Tbh this is a relatively recent development but there are a number of reasons and l recognise it's unhealthy. Ultimately I'm now very much alone, the few people in my life l loved dearly have either died or deserted in recent times, principally due to ongoing health issues which cause constant pain and dysfunction and have taken away my social life, l live alone in a place l don't like, I've no real option but to continue working and whilst I'm lucky to have a sympathetic employer who allows me to work exclusively from home the effort l make in maintaining a veneer of competence and professionalism is exhausting and l feel like I'm on a hamster wheel and the only contact l have is with colleagues. When my working day stops idk what to do with myself so l have my first drink as a reward and it spirals from there.if you don't mind me asking, how did it get to this point in a sense of from I assume normal drinking habits to 8-12 daily.
Would actually agree, the buzz with drinking in the past was that l could disinhibit enough to be socially functional, entertaining, charming even. If alcohol didn't exist l would still be a virgin, and if you think my posts are bad *now*, imagine how bad they'd be otherwise.Being buzzed isn't even fun. It's boring.
You fully off?Used to be an alcoholic, I quit drinking when I quit my job but a normal weekend for me was two bottle of spirits and a crate of lager.
I'm honestly surprised my liver didn't fail in all those years.
Incel Chinaski? Good lord.If alcohol didn't exist l would still be a virgin, and if you think my posts are bad *now*, imagine how bad they'd be otherwise.
Reported for being able to somehow sense my penis is of essentially unremarkable length and therefore not accompanying me to the prom, or whatever the fuck it is you americans do at school when you're not shooting your classmates.Incel Chinaski? Good lord.
I can't really drink due to health issues but I rely heavily on marijuanai tend to go through 8-12 cans of pilsner a week and maybe throw in a couple extra beers or ciders here and there for good measure if im walking home. so not alcoholic level but i am slowly finding it hard to walk away from the shop. for example if walking home ill often feel drawn to it. how about you?
