I wasn't meaning so much in a body dysmorphia way but- if you want to express that, that's obviously fine too.

I meant more in a squemish way though. Are you squemish? I am. I don't like blood and guts and thinking about organs that can go wrong.

I also have a slightly bizarre relationship with my skeleton. I have love/ hate feelings towards skeletons. I think they're cool and amazing but also, creepy. Sometimes I'll be in a particular position and picture what my skeleton must look like sitting like that.

I guess it's weird because- what with Halloween, we are encouraged to see them as separate entities so, it's kind of weird to think we all have one inside of us. Like they are us but, we maybe don't exactly identify with them.

Like- I love seeing xrays if I have them done but then, I'm like- euw- that's creepy. That's my skull!

It's a slightly silly thing to talk about I guess but, I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

I'm not at all squeamish, I actively like the sight of blood and it's a reason why I SH. I'm pretty interested in the inside of the body and like watching gory surgery documentaries and things like that. A lot of art I like is gory and disturbing too ૮₍ ˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶ ₎ა
And skeletons I find funny. A bunch of bones just pootling around on the surface of the planet.

I hate thinking of how horryfying we all look inside, and in a lot of ways, outside also. All living beings, except plants maybe. Nature is so fucked up, but also we perceive it that way because we are programmed to. If rock people existed, imagine how terrifying buildings would look to them. Or any cave. It would suck to be a rock person.

depends on my mood and intensity of blood/gore or if it is real or a verbal description of the body. Like I like cutting and the blood comes out, especially if I am in a masochistic/sadistic mood. I am either neutral to or like fiction blood and gore but I am always disturbed by real gore or descriptions of how body works or is structured or diagrams of the body (like in science in biology in school or talking about layers of skin I feel really faint.)

I've had that thought- if only we could photosynthesise. I guess I'd miss eating but then, it would be a much kinder world if we weren't all killing and eating one another.

What a fun question!

I find human biology/anatomy to be really interesting! I love learning about the places and functions of everything in the body. Blood is such an interesting liquid too. (not in a gore way though, I just think its miraculous how the human body has evolved) My favorite is biopsychology, learning about the brain is so fun.

cool biology tip - if you are taking a hike in the forest when its dark out and have trouble seeing where to put your feet so you don't fall, try looking slightly ahead instead of directly at your feet. Your central vision relies on cones, which are better at detecting color but don't work well in low light. Your peripheral vision uses more rods, which are more sensitive to movement and dim lighting. So by using your peripheral vision, you're more likely to avoid tripping or falling! :D

I am like you (squeamish about the human body) in one way though, eyes. Eye injuries send shivers up my spine. So gross.
