• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Cowardice is of two kinds. Psychological cowardice. And the cowardice of not being able to bear physical pain. Those who ctb don't have either kind of cowardice. Psychologically its a leviathan thing to choose to end everything on your own knowingly and not telling anyone about it. When people die natural deaths, its cozy, they are in bed and everyone they know is there for them. But in catching this bus, you have to buy the ticket all alone. So it is difficult psychologically. And most "ticket counters" don't give the "ticket" to this bus painlessly. Helium, nitrogen, CO "counters" may be painless but most of the others are not. It takes courage to bear all that physical pain as well.
Someone posted this somewhere and I find it very logical. Suppose a man is on the 50th floor, say, and his room is on fire. He tries to protect himself from the fire for as long as he can. In a final act of desperation he jumps out the window. Jumping seemed better to him that being burnt. Now if the people on the streets call him a coward, are they right? I leave you to decide that.

They say that cowards commit suicide, but
what about those that want to do it but are too scared to go through with it? Lol. That was me - I feel like real cowardly shit because of it.

Are you killing yourself because you are afraid to face life or do you believe death is better for you? If you believe death isn't the better option it's not cowardly. If you believe you are better off alive but are too scared to live it's cowardly. Reguardless you have to overpower the strongest instinct in order to die which is very difficult, and by any definition bravery. Cowardly would be afraid to do whatever is best for you staying in this limbo because of whatever reason.

A quote I heard many years ago that stuck with me on this subject.

''If I wasnt such a coward, Id of killed myself by now''

I think this is true. Taking your own life and not knowing what will happen next is scary.

It is the end of your existence. It takes major courage to commit suicide.
