Oh yeah you mean the person who wrote an article about promortalisme?! they were essentially saying that as long as life will or can always feature pain it's always far better to not exist at all instead of existing which honestly I do agree with because they make a substantially great point

Oh So he said a pinprick of pain lol well that is obviously excessive I mean sometimes life can be worth living and sometimes it's not it honestly depends on the circumstances that are lived through by each one us.

If you are a negative utilitarian,a lifeless universe is preferrable over heaven with only a pinprick of pain.
So if your future is pure bliss and you experience mild headache for 1 second, you should seek to die ASAP if you are NU.
That's what he wanted to convey through his papers,

Right, now I see his point if you ask me it's a pretty hardcore position cuz if you live in bliss and there isn't a shred of pain how the hell can you appreciate living in that bliss I mean having some contrast seems necessary to even know what bliss is from what it's not u see

if there is even a shred of pain in your future, then you should seek to die ASAP.That is negative utlitartian in a nutshell.

Also about the contrast, are you aware of the david pearce hedonistic imperative?
there he explains how we would not need pain to appreciate happiness etc

No amount of pain justifies any amount of pleasure. I agree with this guy.

Oh, I see. Then I guess I'm more far-reaching and radical than he is. Does he discuss whether or not the decision maker knows they will experience bliss?

Let's say you can predict your future.
Your future is all happiness with the only caveat being it consists of only mild headache for 1 second.
Then, according to him you should seek to die ASAP.
That's Negative utilitarianism in a nutshell where only suffering matters and priority should be given to only suffering reduction
