i don't want to say the name of the hobby because it's small and obscure but even though my life is terrible i can't stop thinking about The Hobby. i'm depressed about being stuck at home again after trying to escape (went off to uni, spent a glorious six years in the city, rent hikes + death of father -- as shitty as he was -- made me end up at home again), my mother hates me, i hate her, there are no jobs, etc. etc. there's really nothing to be happy in my life outside of the fact that i'm not under a bridge and....The Hobby.

if i die i won't be able to enjoy it anymore. that really is the sole thing tethering me here still.

I think it's great. I really enjoy strategy games and now there's a bunch that are good for one player... my gaming friends moved on decades ago so I'm solo. I can do that all day, it's really calming to me.
Of course I work too, but it's really inconvenient.
I'd miss gaming for sure. Cheers!

im really good at music but im so ruined it doesnt make me happy anymore and i get bullying flashbacks if i play on stage. music is the only thing that i could use to calm myself down for a long time. reality keeps trying to stop me because of depression and being forced to work i want to just cancel everything

I have hobbies, though I wouldn't say they keep me here. I really enjoy them, though not enough to not want to off myself. I often am told I'm so good at these hobbies I could make a career out of them if I wished, but I prefer to keep them as simple hobbies. If I turned them into a job they would lose their spark and I would no longer see the fun in them. I wish they were enough to make me want to live.
