I have a gun but considering asking for help for the off chance of getting money for a mental illness I might not even have but as soon as I mention being suicidal I will lose my guns so is this an extremely bad choice? I know I will only be able to cope with a mediocre life after that and I will never have kids so I might as well kms with my gun right?

Watsup. Well if you want to ctb I personally wouldn't recommend using your gun. For me, it's not 'peaceful', and doesn't preserve your bodily dignity.

If money is making you want to ctb and a diagnosis of mental illness can result in an income to help you not want to ctb, then definitely go for that route. A gun is nice to have, but you only really need it if you live in a violent country, which you don't. Your gun is more for 'fun' and sports shooting. Would suck to lose the gun but I wouldn't hang onto it for ctb, I would rather hang myself or do SN. Much better options.

Even if you aren't mentally ill - I don't think you are, a lot of people on here aren't mentally ill or 'depressed' as diagnosed, it's more bad circumstances - if you can get the diagnosis and maybe money to make things easier, do that. You can always hang or SN later.

What is "SN" ?
SN is Sodium Nitrite. It's like a type of salt that you can order legally online. It is in Nitschke's Peaceful Pill Handbook. While it is not as peaceful as Nembutal, it's not too far away. And it's very cheap. 10g is a lethal dose. A person must also take anti-emetics before, to prevent vomiting, like with N.

Yes I used to have a 10 gauge shotgun it's a big fucking gun it leaves a big fucking hole and if you shoot yourself in the head you don't have a fucking head anymore. I don't have the gun anymore for reasons I can't legally explain .

.40 S&W, .45 M&P S&W, 9mm Shield with LE rounds, 30 odd with a slug, and a .410 have all been to my head. Though tasting the steel, tears a flow, I still type this. I'm not one to live with regret, however if I had pulled a trigger 5 years ago, I would have no daughters to leave with unanswered questions and possible sorrows.

My father left by means of a .22 Daringer, my best friend via .38 special with pos brass practice rounds. I just want something a bit less messy.

Thanks for that I will be looking into that.

How long ago was this? And do you regret not ctb by using a gun back when you had the choice? I put the loaded Glock with a round in the chamber to my head last night when I was drunk like I have done several times before and it´s just so "easy" with a gun to kms I imagine I will regret it if I decide not to go that way and give up my guns.

I remember 5-6 years ago back when I didn´t have a gun how much of a hassle suicide was to learn about methods and they all seemed so hard to do compared to shooting myself, I decided on hanging (drop hanging) so the knot would break my neck but I decided against it obviously otherwise I wouldn´t be alive but the point is that a gun is like an exit button where you can just click it and you´re out where as with a lot of the other methods it takes more time and effort. And I really don´t want to give up my exit button I have even considered maybe burying my Glock somewhere safe so I always will have it as a exit plan but of course I can´t do that because then I would be going to jail for it.

This was 2 1/2 years ago and yes definitely regret it. If I had it to do over I'd have gone to a shooting range and practiced to give me more courage and assurance I'd hit the right spot. Now I'm going to jump from a building tomorrow night. I hope I can anyway. I'll drink plenty and take benzos but am terrified still.

Not the best way, stop spreading misinformation. There are countless people who failed suicide using guns and ended fucked up.

I'm still in the process of acquiring a firearm, and if I had a firearm, I would never reveal about it to anyone I am around with, nor even ask for help. It's too risky to get locked up against one's will and then lose the guns.

I wouldn´t be locked up since I have a permit for it but it can be taken away. And if I don´t ask for help I will have no money. Which brings me to another things to any rich people reading, money is everything it buys time it IS time. With money we will have more time to contemplate suicide instead of just going through with it.

I don't have any regrets. I do miss my s&w revolver and would probably never be allowed to even hold a gun again (I love marksmanship, been shooting since college), but what can you do. At the time gun was my method, but now I'm leaning towards hanging or n because its less messy.

If you are considering to get help don't hesitate it. It might work for you, at least you tried your best. Suicide should be your last option imo.
