Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I'm not a resident but live close to the border of Netherlands and Belgium. I could relocate.

The appeal of doctor assisted suicide is the dignity in the process of dying.

Has anyone without terminal illness experience with the process? There are documentaries on YouTube that picture young adults receiving their relief. To me, this looks promising

I know of someone that did, but they had an impressive combination of mental issues in autism, ADHD, anorexia and PTSD that were all diagnosed. And they have a bunch of different treatments they've tried before. So their greenlighting was massively helped by them being able to show that, despite not being terminally ill, they did have massive psychological suffering that was demonstrably not getting better.

How long was the process for them after their initial request?

I believe their original application at the euthanasia clinic still basically required them to try some other treatment/therapy, which they did for about a year IIRC. Then, after contacting the clinic once again they had about a 6 months process to get it greenlit.

All in all my impression is that you won't get this easily and the more diagnoses and attempted treatments you've been through, the likelier/faster it will be achieved.
