Discussion Anyone else not having a funeral

No funeral, Cremation and ashes scattered along with the ashes of my 2 dogs ! My heaven is over rainbow bridge.

That's good. You never know, the boffins might find a cure for diseases, compliments of the human corpse !. Otherwise, who gives a shit about when someone gets 'flamed'. !?. Ive gone for the cheap disposal in a body bag. I mean, why waste a tree !.

The body bag is a good idea which I'll look into. A couple of friends might want my ashes. I'll leave it to them to decide.

no funeral, I will prepay for my disposal and will leave the contact info and details with my body.

I've considered and priced everything. I'm going back and forth between a natural burial in a shroud in a prarie cemetery (they just wrap your body in like a full body snuggy and lower you into a hole. The other option I've considered is a cremation and being dumped somewhere that it wouldn't be toxic or polluting.

The natural burial: I'd rather at least benefit the ground and the eco system with the natural burial and its much less costly then all that casket and cement lined grave.
The cremation: offered by the one company here is the least cost of it all. So much less that I can make a decent donation to the cause of my choosing with the difference in price.

But no funeral. Just done.

I've thought of donating my body to science, but some places won't accept bodies that were a result of suicide. So I may just leave a note by my body saying to plop me off at the crematorium.

I hate funerals. I hate the idea of people speaking about me, looking at my body in a casket or anything like that. It seems wierdly exploitative. Like I'm dead leave me alone. I'd live to be creamated then my ashes tossed into the ocean but my parents are religious so it wouldn't happen.

Although I like the idea of something like a natural burial, maybe one of those ones where they use you to start a new underwater coral- I have requested that if my family want to do something in particular like hold a funeral, to respect their wishes. Otherwise, I want no funeral or to make the arrangements the least financial burden possible.

Its pointless that I even requested to go straight to cremation because my family will want to reap every bit of attention they can.

No matter how I die, ctb or of natural causes due to my health problems, I've told EVERYONE for years that I want NO FUNERAL, and no memorial service of any kind. Mainly this is because even though I won't be aware of it, there is absolutely nobody who would come anyway and I don't want that final humiliation. My parents are gone and I do not have any relationship or communication with my sibling or extended family, and the 'friends' I have are more casual acquaintances really and wouldn't come...most are online and live far away so... I will be cremated and ashes buried with my parents. I do not want an obituary or any kind of death notice in the paper either, as there is nothing to say about my life other than the dates I was born and died. Why bother.
