I feel it's a great motivator for me. I can't think or distract myself when it's like this. And every summer is hotter than the one before it.

I have hyper hydrosis (real heavy sweating) so yes it getting harder with antidepressiva, not funny.

Not necessarily the heat but the sun . I hate when it's too warm, I live in Ireland so warm days are few and far between but i don't like the long bright days. In summer we get a lot of those of days here and it makes me feel uneasy. Wouldn't say it pushes me to ctb but it certainly doesn't help.

It certainly sets the tone. I can't stand the summer and usually find myself longing for autumn from day one.

I DESPISE the summer time. It makes me incredibly anhedonic and suicidal.

I started hating daylight aswell. Im so depressed and panicky. Spastic. Then every day at 4pm, as sun slowly moves away, and temp. drops, i start to calm down. Im ok then, until 4am. I dont get it why but, its 4am to 4pm timespan

Oh my god I completely understand! I suffered in intense heat especially because my house is right in the sun, for over 10 years I suffered. I definitely wanted to ctb because of that! I had small animals and I was changing out their ice packs several times a day. But then I got an air conditioner finally, and I also moved downstairs to the basement where it's 10 degrees cooler. Best decision I ever made. With the AC and basement it's not a problem anymore. But boy did I have huge issues with getting an air conditioner, it was so bad I was crying so hard because of frustration and nobody in my family wanted to help me pick it up from the store or help install it. My mom's a horrible bitch she's like "it's not that hot", but my older sister has an a/c near my dying grandma and I'm pretty sure that's why my grams is still alive. My mom is a fucking idiot, story of my life.
I used to get over heated and have hot flashes. This summer is super fucking cold though. It never goes above 23 C, and at night it dips very low. My plants are just waiting for constant sunshine. It's raining a lot. I'm always freezing when I wake up, I'm pretty sure my iron is extremely low and I can't keep taking iron it gives me severe indigestion.

I guess I'll be odd (wo)man out and say I love summer. I'm not a cold weather person... prefer it like 75-85 degrees and sunny. I need to move to Hawaii.

Hell, yes! It's like a summer SAD. As soon as the the sun hits my skin I feel anxious. I'm overweight now but I had the same reaction when I was slim and fit! Depression rockets and I can't plan to do anything without worrying. Interestingly, my shrink suggested that the effect of heat on the body can mimic the physical symptoms of an anxiety attack. The weather has cooled off at the moment and feeling the wind makes me smile and feel a lot calmer. Already dreading the second inevitable climb in temperature the claustrophobia makes me want to die

Summer seasonal depression is a thing. I have the other side of it, winter depression. I can't stand the cold.
I can imagine how oppressive the heat must get in other parts of the world, and it's only getting worse. I'm so sorry guys. Knowing you're going to have to go through it again every year is debilitating. I spend half my year in dread of the other half, in which I suffer.
