Venting Anyone else completely friendless?

Whenever I think about my funeral, I realize over and over again, there will only be my family present.
I have no friends. 0
Some people say they have no friends yet they still have someone checking up on them or asking them to go for a drink or do something fun.

Is there anyone like me that legit has nobody?
You cant text anyone, you cant call anyone
Nobody texts you.

The only notificationss I get are from family and thats rare.

I'm so sorry. I'm lucky to have 2 friends who have the same diagnoses as me and accept me now. But I was completely friendless for large portions of my life. It does something to you inside. Changes something that no one can understand unless they've been alone too.

Do you have the desire to make friends or are you just focused on your ctb?

There are many people like you. You could try joining any groups/hobby clubs etc. if you have a desire for friendship

I dont got any and I like it that way. I've tried to make friends before but it felt so bad that I just gave up on it. I spend 90% of my time alone. Only people I come across is my family and I dont like them either. I did have a friend but that was years ago and it wasn't even that close of a friend. They did end up ghosting me but it was pretty understandable. It's an online friendship so I didnt expect much and she spoke but I didnt so theres that. Im awkward asf and somehow get shy to speak irl and online. Making friends seems like going to war for whatever reason.

Me too, I have absolutely nobody because I impulsively isolated myself. I barely even talk to my family anymore.

Its a strange feeling, since nobody knows me its almost as if I don't exist lol.

Sometimes I want friends but I get so terrified talking to people.

No friends offline. Some old friends online still but I haven't spoken to them much if at all in the last few years. I don't even speak to my family much. I don't really know what to say to anyone and feel like I've been losing the ability to communicate unprompted unless I have a need. I was never good at maintaining friendships or having interesting conversations with people, but it's way worse now.

I lost all of my friends because my ex demanded i never speak to anyone, because they were paranoid about me falling in love with someone else and leaving them. Same person then fell in love with someone else and left me.

I tried in so many different places, so many different people but no luck.

I have no friends or family left at 40, there are a couple of people that will miss me for a short while when I'm gone but they are people I work with. It will make going a fair bit easier for me when my time comes though, knowing that I wont really be missed means no holding back.

My best friend, my cousin, died almost 5 years ago. Never really made any other friends. I had a couple friends years ago that I dropped as friends because they turned out to be assholes and screwed me over multiple times. Now, don't have any.

I think it's amazing that people can have some group of about 5-10 for several years. I never felt good in groups. I never felt needed, useful? In one-of-one meetings at least I know that the person wants to spend time with me. In groups (on rare occasions when it happened) it feels like "they have to deal with me again, but maybe they don't want to make me feel bad". At the same time I never felt that way about others "uh, I want to hang out with this group, but I don't want to deal with person XYZ".

Oh I have friends I just don't text them, ignore their calls and haven't seen em in months because I have psychological issues that make me want to disengage completely from the world and cut ties so they may forget me and not miss me if I do indeed disappear someday because I don't want to hurt them and I feel quite shit about it because I do care for them... and its because I care for them that I'm doing this so they wouldn't mourn me.

Oh woe is me vent aside, I'm really sorry you don't have irl friends at the moment, specially if you do want them, which yeah I totally get they can make a world of a difference. If you are socially ackward or a social mess or a social menace or barely a "social" like me and a lot of people here it gets hard. I know I only kept mine cos I met them in school. Haven't made any new friends in years. So I getcha. It sucks. Have you tried joining some club or class of something you really like? That can work

I've tried, it's not as simple as joining this or that. At least not for me. Family and family friends all were pretty abusive and controlling. Messed me up for 25 yrs ...

I try with folk but I just feel like a freak, and no matter what I say or do I just never fit in.
