...but can't handle it anymore now that it's forced upon us? It's making me claustrophobic. The cabin fever is insane. It doesn't matter if I leave the house. It's all so oppressive.

Sixteen years. If I'd started recovering I'd be thoroughly pissed off

For the most part, yes. Even when I went out for purposes other than work I either made it brief or went out late at night/early in the morning to avoid human contact. Doesn't bother me. I am very selective about who I associate with other than on a superficial level.

10 years.
this feels no different from my normal except that now it's socially acceptable to live my lifestyle.
i know that things are bad and there's a catastrophic economic collapse incoming, but i feel way better than in the last 3 years.

I was for 3 years, then went out again and failed miserably. I'm mad at myself now and been isolated again for I don't know how long. A year maybe 2. Lockdown is making me crazy, but if it was lifted tomorrow and the virus disappeared I still wouldn't have anywhere to go. Just having the choice in there somewhere gives a little feeling of control.

It scares me that I'll lose it and bolt and end up in hospital. I think this and the aftermath is going to be make it or break it for the mental health systems everywhere

Yep, pretty much the only difference between my life now and before is not going to the gym.

Yeah same here nothing has really changed. It's not affecting me at all. The only cool thing is I got to take my methadone home so I'm not required to go to the pharmacy daily. That's the only outing I got, pharmacy and grocery store.

I've been a hikikomori only going out to work for a while so nothing much changed for me, I've never really felt any claustrophobia from shutting myself away which is a plus.

Four years in more or less isolation due to illness. I was just starting to try and get out more when the plague hit.

No, not really besides now. I work with kids at schools and the community before the virus became a national emergency and we went on lockdown.
I still talk to my clients over things like Zoom so we can keep in touch and I can still talk to them.
