Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

It's not that those who want to die SHOULD resort to public methods: suicide by cop, train, jumping in public, getting sucked into aircraft engine, or other things that might be considered 'traumatic' to others.

But it is painful to read all the callous remarks about those that resort to these methods. For example, someone recently wandered out onto an airport runway and got sucked into an engine.
Yes, it was reckless and endangered and traumatized others. I am not endorsing it or saying it is good.

What I am saying is,: what do you expect? That cornering desperate animals and telling them to STFU and suffer for decades, because it's all 'temporary' and not respecting their RIGHT to die is going to always have the result of them suffering in silence for your comfort?

Almost every person on the planet has paid enough in taxes, either sales tax, income tax, or any kind of tax, to cover their personal dose of pentobarbital for when they are ready to leave. This shouldn't even be up for debate.

Is SN more pleasant? The descriptions on attempts sound like extreme nausea type discomfort, not for me it's one of the least pleasant sensations and not the last thing I want to feel. Fent might work, but that's apparently sensationalized for media clicks, not that OD is impossible, but not reliable. Shotgun in the mouth? If you are lucky to live in the USA sure. If you had a failed attempt or any number of other reasons, your firearm rights are taken away. And having a gun in your mouth, from personal experience, is so so so difficult. And they would STILL complain about that.

So if one is forced to shotgun their own head, why not make it rain in public? At least the cleanup will be quick. For some reason the suicidal person is told that trauma is just part of life, tough, deal with it. But they are not permitted to traumatize others, yet wait a sec, I thought nature was just rough like that? Again I'm not saying it's right. It's just ridiculous that people have to do these things at all.

All of it is preventable. Imagine how many tragedies and how much trauma could be prevented, money saved, you name it, with simply granting adults the dignity of choosing an out when they need it.

People mostly only do performative empathy.... They only "feel" for what can be easier fixed, so they can look good when there's a result.

I would say a person who's suicidal and chooses to care for others even after their death is someone who's beyond generous. It's something people should be grateful for them caring. But a person who's been driven to suicide is not ever someone to take accountability, it's like blaming a 100 year old grandma for passing away during thanksgiving, you can't blame the sick no matter what. Even if that grandma's hooked up on 10 machines and the most advanced drug, it's not anyone's pleasure to die if they aren't already suffering.

Sorry I went on a bit of a rant there, but those people pmo.
