I've been reading them for four years off and on, always mainly through mainstream media organisations, Google News searches usually find me articles matching my key word searches.

It's a bit of morbid fascination/inspiration to learn of if someone, somewhere in the world has committed or if the article begins by saying "body found" or "death not suspicious" and I'll usually read it.

While major news players don't list all the factors or facts, at least it's better than complete non-reporting.

Of course, a round of applause to LiveLeak and others. I never knew it existed until a few years ago.

This is so accurately my life right now.
'Suicide' 'suicide UK' , 'carbon monoxide death', etc are my daily searches.
I find them quite comforting to read, but also I find myself wondering as to how they managed to do it so easily. Then again as you say they often do not give the reader all the required details on how they ctb.
Still, I find them interesting and I'm glad I'm not the only one.x

Yes, i do all the time. I google suicides in the news section. The latest story I've read is a BYU student who jumped 4 stories on campus. I've noticed that a lot of the suicide news are from India.

On my time of grief on the suicide of an beloved friend, I´ve searched a lot of news of suicide, specially if the suicidal was female (My friend jumped to her death). It was a kind of denial, a kind of myth that the women doesn´t kill herselves, but since the acceptation of my suicidal thoughts and desires I quit to search them.

I read them if I see them but I don't actively look for them. The only time I did search was when my cousin ctb and we were waiting for identification.

Every now and then. /r/MorbidReality has a lot of them, some which involve children killing themselves at a young age.

I don't look for them oftenly, but some famous people's suicides do grab my attention, namely sports stars, musicians, and what not.

I've just read some google employee died in the new york google offices. Looks to be a suicide. News outlets have his name and picture all over. Even though, I'd be dead - i would hate for this to happen to me... and I'm sure the Google guy who CTB'ed feels the same way.. poor guy

I type keywords into Google and click news for the results tab. Keywords like "police find body", "body found", "death not suspicious", "a report will be prepared for the coroner." It's easy unless you live in a restrictive country like China to google. Etc.

My thoughts exactly. I'm always grateful because they haven't failed as a vegetable or disabled. That'd be awful, reading ones where people have failed. That'd be miserable.
