He's talking about benzos, not SSRIs

I can never see how anything that makes you feel worse at first is ever a good thing to put in your brain

He mentioned anti-depressives in the title so I thought I would share. It's not a guarantee you'll feel worse, but there is a risk of it.

Drug: anti-depression
Purpose: to stop depression
Side effects: extreme depression

The fuck?

I'm sure you've been warned, but during the first couple weeks, the medication can intensify your negative feelings. I took Zoloft and I almost went back a few days later to tell the doc he gave prodrepression pills by mistake. Then once they kick in, you don't feel better, you feel nothing. I did not give a fuck about anything. I rather be dead then go back to being a zombie. It differs for everyone though, that's just my personal experience with them.
i have the same complaints about antimania/antipsychotics. sure, i'm more calm and sleeping again. but i'm also dead inside, sleeping 18-20 hrs a day and likely packing on pounds like i'll be sent to slaughter.

Yea feeling pain is better then feeling nothing imo. At least I feel human. I could of killed somebody when I was on that shit and it wouldn't cross my mind a second time after I did it. Fucking scary stuff.

Word. Can't see how anything that lists depression as side effect can be good for depression

I've never been prescribed antipsychotics but I've self medicated with them. I can confirm sleeping and feeling dead inside is the only effect

I'd rather feel nothing but different strokes.

That's why such a large portion of homicides are carried out by people on psych meds

Absolutely. It's easy to say you want to feel nothing...but going through it is another story. Like, the only reason you are not killing yourself this very moment? Yea block that inhibition as soon as on you are medicated. You won't even want to die anymore because there is just nothing, and before you forget what it was like to feel ANYTHING, those side effects might take any hesitation you had About CTB and boom, you're gone. I would only suggest pills to people who think they can get better. If you're dead ass set on death, the pills will only complicate matters

I've used benzos for anxiety- panic attacks- they take the edge of but don't fully help.
I've never abused them. Apart from one time as part of an overdose- I fell asleep very fast and lost my memory

scary stuff indeed. my psychiatrist added oxcarbamazpine to the the depakote and clonazepam yesterday. walking zombie state is fast approaching. that stuff offsets any help the adderall for the adhd he treats me for as well. between this and my physical health problems, you'd think i was an AIDS patient :(

Shiiiiit I feel you. I'm not trying to bash the pills because I'm not ignorant enough to say they do NOTHING for ANYBODY...but those warning labels need to explain better the potential pain this "fix" These pills can temporarily have

right on. and how their effectiveness wears off over time, but your body's physical dependency on them increases. they're designed for short term use. i have yet to meet a person who has been on them short term though.

They don't even allow the potential for a "short term user". Look at the side effects. "You stop before the dose can take effect, you might be at square one!" "You stop taking the dose before your body was ready to slightly weight you off of it? Too bad guess what! You'll be greeted with more feelings of wanting to die.

The sad fact is, RX does not make money off solutions, they make money off temporary fixes that IF THEY FAIL, ITS YOUR METAL STABILITY THAT FAILED YOU. No no no
These pills should make you feel better, if you kill yourself because you took our pills, you should of read the little white text that we promise 99.99999999% of cases willl be positive. Oh you had a negative experience? You must of fallen vitcem to that crazy popular 0.001% of people we mentioned in the ad we were running.

Pills fix nothing. their main purpose is to fatten to wallets of the RX big boys. Go ahead and TRY to debate on that, I literally have files on records that prove your hero's i shining metal don't actually give two fucks about you.

Exactly, medicine is business here and who wants to lose customers to getting well. There's this bullshit clip circulating around facebook now featuring Anthony Bourdain and Kate Spade. It goes on and on about how treatable depression is. BULLSHIT! Studies show at best, antidepressants have about a 30% success rate, and I'm guess that's placebo effect more than anything else.

Haha! I do not care how advanced our medial science becomes, there will NEVER be a cure all pill that stops people from dressspion and eventual sucide. Sure, the stats might be in their favour (considering life lost to life saved) but in my opinion, if ONE person is at risk, WE ARE ALL AT RISK.

Sorry, I don't accept these 95% succes rate pills, because who in the flying fuck am I supposed to turn to if these magic pills don't work on my offspring?

Any experiences with Hydroxyzine?
I've got some 25 mg pills, I'm thinking maybe I should take 1 or 2 before my attempt to help with the anxiety.

I have really bad anxiety. I am getting my hands on some benzos soon.
Didn't take them long enough. However I've been on mirtazapine and put on 3 stone in two months.
Also would like to try mirtazapine. Don't care if I gain weight. What were they like?

What does it feel to be on drugs like benzos? It'll take me some time to get my hands on them and I'd like to know what to expect.
They used to give me clonazepam, the only thing it used to do was make me sleep all the damn time and put me in bed. Drains you of all your energy, but the anxiety is the same.

I've been on clonazepam for years. i feel its effect has worn off over the 8+ years i've been on it at 1mg/3x/Day. i've even megadosed on it a couple time and combined with liquor. the worst side effect i've had is a long nap and poor memory after the megadoses.
