Has anyone else here read Anna Karenina? It is my absolute favourite novel.

I've long had an interest in Russian literature so this has been on my to-read list for forever, but for the past few years, I've been mostly reading non-fiction. How does it compare to other classics of Russian literature, like The Brothers Karamazov?

All of life is in it. The full spectrum.

I would really recommend reading it. But if you can't read Russian (I can't!) then I recommend the translation by Richard Pevear and Larissa Volokhonsky. They also do a wonderful (I think) translation of War and Peace. I am going to order a copy of The Brothers Karamazov.
