Venting Animal cruelty

I sometimes wonder how people would feel if it was them in a situation like this. If it was them asking to be forgiven or just trying to get it off their chest in a "safe" place only to be ridiculed and told how horrible they are as if they didn't already realize this. Only being made to feel worse then they already do.

If you really want to help someone then you won't point out that what they've done is wrong if they already recognize it as such, instead you'd offer ways to help so it doesn't happen again, not make them feel horrible and in some cases to the point of inhuman.

I'm sorry but it is wrong. Hurting an animal or a person is the same thing. It's absolutely evil. I have many pets and love them so much. Violence is not an answer to anything. It's animal cruelty and they should go to prison and get bad karma.

I know :( I'd rather die than hurt my cats. It makes me so sad that animal cruelty is still happening today and some people think that there's nothing wrong with it? :(

The short of it is that I severely tortured a cat some years ago. Only later did I regret what I did.
I cry a lot over it, I haven't cried in 13 years before this.

I just want redemption. A clear conscience and good health would mean the world to me now. Life is just unbearable otherwise.

Perhaps through redemption, it feels cathartic and blessed by the grace of forgiveness, and be able to move forward as a more compassionate human being.

So this "everyone" you're talking about is really a pretty niche group. Virtue signalling doesn't count. My experience has been that most of the people who express public outrage at these things do them themselves in their everyday lives, without giving it any thought.

I'm rather telling you that you're obviously not paying a lot of attention to the world around you. It's not "normalized", but normal. Sort of like jaywalking. It's not allowed, but people do it all the time anyway* without giving it any thought. If asked, these same people will claim that traffic rules are important.
