Just wondering if anyone has experienced something similar. I'm a gun owner and wouldn't mind shooting myself right now. Does alcohol affect you in similar ways or perhaps an opposite way?

It depends. If I get washed drunk I'll go from jovial and enjoying the moment to staring at my 45 and miserable. It's a wild card for me and the mindset leading into it before drinking changes my outcome for intoxicated feelings I think

Getting drunk is always a gamble for me. I can never tell if I'm going to be silly and happy or get horribly depressed and self-harm and become more suicidal.Similar threads
