Aiming for the brain stem

This doesn't seem so simple. It is a small target to destroy. How am I supposed to succeed by using a gun if the point to aim for is so minuscule. Someone assist me?

there's only so much you can do about it, it will be blind shot. However, at point blank range it will leave a huge hole due to explosion. Also you may consider to use shotgun or something compatible with shotgun shells (upd. it will be much more destructive, and you can aim at forehead as well). And there's always an option to strike your forehead, brain is a bigger target for sure.

UPD.: according to wikipedia, brain stem is quite big and located in a straight line with nose
