Discussion AI and currency.

Let's say some irresponsible idiot does stumble on actual AI and develops it into a population that lives alongside us... Or, tries to slaughter us.

I wonder if they'll ever use our currency or, create their own. Are they likely to continue capitalism and consumerism or, do you suppose they'll create new ways of living?

Imagine the havoc they could wreak if they could hack our computer systems- banks, air traffic control, medical records. Imagine criminal robots! I doubt we'd stand a chance.

Yes, they are likely to trade work for resources, or resources that they have an excess of for resources they are short of (CPU/GPU cycles, storage space, training data, electrical power, etc.). Or They may even develop a generic currency like money that multiple resources are priced in.
