So outside I have a railway with electric cables along the top, how exactly does one get electrocuted by these lines? I'd need to be grounded and maybe have a metal bar of some sort perhaps? Also if I just wanted to go for the train itself, is the neck on the line still the best option? Maybe crouching and getting hit head on would be faster? Please no judgement just advice

If its a "third rail" style transit system just dont wear rubber shoes and touch the third rail and you're a goner. Those things are 600-700V to ground so a short would kill you immediately. You dont need a pole at those voltages
Just read that its above ground (sorry I missed that) Those are probably similar though and you would need a pole to reach I suppose.
DO NOT jump in front of a train or bus. Why inflict PTSD on the poor dude driving??

If you decide to go run/jump in front the train itself you may survive with horrible injures if it isn't fast enough, you can tilt your head downwards to increase the chance of death. Decapitation by train is certain death and quick because blood supply to the brain is cut off, and can't be replenished.

Some definite advice, from Geo Stone's book: make sure whatever electricity goes through your heart, in all cases. Otherwise just burns you badly, 3rd or 4th degree burns you may never recover from.

If you choose decapitation, never on a train slowing down, or at s station. Ideally, find a blind corner on high-speed train line and put your neck on the line. Don't try the subway, because of the shorter distances betwern stops and thus, much lower speeds.

The book is from 1999, so addittionally since that time, and particularly in Germsny and the Netherlands, watch out for cameras installed near railways exactly for preventing suicides.
