• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

"Accept the things you can't change" is a phrase I read often as a key stone of "getting better". The thing is I am not able to accept myself being mentally ill, or how people are, or how the world is, how existence is etc. I wonder how people are able to shrug their shoulders and accept life. Have you been successful with trying to accepting things you can't change? One thing this phrase doesn't touch on of course is that I can indeed change everything by erasing my perception of everything by not existing anymore. The world will basically disappear from my experience, so actually I changed everything as far as I am concerned, looks like didn't have to accept anything from the start.

Neither acceptance nor rejection ever matters when ignorance is the answer to both.

There is a word for that now. Toxic positivity.
You don't have to accept shit if you don't want to.

You can't give up your ego with your own ego. You can't transform yourself by doing, willing or just accepting things. You can only watch what happens, and see how everything and your idea of yourself unflods together

For me personally I find existence very unacceptable in general, I know I'm not meant to suffer in this cruel and painful existence that was always deeply undesirable in the first place for me, I'd never wish to be trapped here for decades longer just to be tormented dying in agony from very old age, the thought of such terrifies me.

There are extremely tough people out there who go through extreme suffering and are able to keep going with positivity. However, that doesn't deserve me at all lmao.

I think that, like with everything, that sentence doesn't apply to all things. I have had success with accepting things out of my control since that helped me focus on the things I had power over. So it's not so much: "accept how things are, job done", but more like: "accept the things that are out of your control and use the effort you were using on that, to change the things you have control over".
