  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I've always been fascinated by the 27 club. There's so much comfort in the chaos or something. Will never make it to 27 though

You have to "make it" to 27 to be in the 27 club.

You also have to be a famous musician. If you aren't a famous musician then you're not in the club, you're just someone who died.

I always said I'd be dead before 30.

32 now.

The choice shouldn't be dictated by numbers or when others passed.

Yeah, sorry to burst your bubble, but the only members anyone actually cares about (except perhaps journalists desperate for clickbait) are Robert Johnson, Brian Jones, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain, and Amy Winehouse. The only non-musician who people seriously include is Basquiat, who was a generational visual artist, and even he is included in those sorts of lists much less often than the musicians.

If someone's a real music nerd they might mention people like Pete Hamm and Richey Edwards, the latter of whom is one of my favourite songwriters (I think a lot of SaSuers will be able to relate to his songwriting). But if you're not a globally famous musician, nobody is going to list you alongside Hendrix. It isn't just "people who died aged 27".

I was going to join the club too, during my 20s, had to move town and cut everyone from my life in an attempt to overcome cocaine addiction.

Was planning to go by 27, just to feel included in something. I thought I was damned to die without the chance to experience real love in this life.

At 26 met a beautiful smart girl, that for some reason didn't care how fucked I was. End up marrying her at 27. Didn't worked out and we parted ways few years later.

This was 9 years ago even though it didn't worked out I would say I was worth it. Man, that was intense, for both of us. Our breakup was mainly my own fault, I'm unable to maintain healthy relationships.

I forced myself to let hear go, she didn't want it despite the piece of shit I am. She deserved better.

If still have something in you, maybe you should wait, CTB is always an option.
