I've been pondering lately about a dream I had. In the dream I went onto a highway and jumped into a coming traffic.

So, I was just wondering how reliable of a method it would be. I mean there are many cars that simply zoom through the road. The only negatives I could think of would be traumatizing the driver and your SI kicking in.

But if you ignore that then there aren't really big chances of survival right?

I think it would be very risky overall. I've had someone jump out in front of my car in the middle of the night. I almost hit them and scared the crap out of me. For one they could not hit you at all, hit you and you survive, hit you and you don't survive, or you both get injured or both/all die. There's just so many variables.

These are negatives. But it happens. If you watch suicide sites there are a number of videos of people laying down before a truck, or even diving between wheels where the driver wouldn't see.
Its hard to imagine surviving.

This could lead to a multi-car pileup as people try to swerve around you. There is also a chance you get hit, survive, and have a terrible, debilitating injury for the rest of tour life.

I'm certain it's not reliable and would give your further complications. When I was last at the mental hospital I met a guy who tried killing himself by laying on the freeway, he ended up getting taken for a suicide attempt and sent to ward I was at.
No need to involve others, there's better ways.
There are certainly better ways it's just unfortunate that those in power refuse them to those of us suffering with no real solution
