Method A few questions about the Exit Bag

1. Does the width of the elastic drawcord matter?
Most guides recommend either 6 or 10 mm. What I have is 4 mm.
I do have thicker ones, but they are a bit less elastic and seem too tight.

2. Where should the end of the hose be inside the bag? Should I attach it close to the bottom or close to the mouth?

3. How tight should I tie the cord at the neck? How tight should it be if I stick a finger next to my neck?

I couldn't find the super-elastic drawcord like the one used in medical masks, so instead I'm using a thin rubber cord.
It's not as stretchy, but I can pull the bag onto my head with it still being tight at the neck. So it definitely does stretch.

I just thought I'd share a description of the gear I put together for inert gas asphyxiation with nitrogen and an exit bag. It's pretty basic since I felt it would be better to start with something simple and functional, then upgrade to SCBA/SCUBA or something else in the future if I have time...

If the rubber cord you found satisfies all these requirements well, then you should be good to go. I've seen another user on here use a thin cord like that.

I got 1/4 elastic band, and while it's thin it still draws the bag closed tightly and opens. You may also want to think about elastic that will fit in your toggle

How do you tighten the toggle cord after you pull the bag down to your neck to tighten especially if you're on a panic state. The Final Exit book have advise sweatband. The sweatband is not right around neck. Haven't connected tube. The only elastic have been able to find to fit through toggle is crafting elastic. Is that okay or too thin? I am really stressed out.

Sorry meant to add sweatband rolled a few times around 19" wide turkey bag and taped. It's loose around neck.

I'm going to CTB using exit mask (EEBD) and I slowly want to complete my device, so I will definitely have questions for the sasu community, especially the EU part. I've looked through most of the posts on this method and I have a rough idea of my device, but I need to be sure everything works well. Of course I don't encourage anyone to CTB, I even advise against it, but I leave my CTB decision to myself.
