Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Why is this so hard?

I think it probably is partly our age. Maybe lives lived slightly less on social media.

I imagine people do leave messages behind to tell people they love them one last time. To warn people ahead of time though- I imagine is rarer. I don't know how common it is for people to threaten suicide too. But, I guess they have to do it more cryptically.
And this is why I never quite know how to take certain texts and posts I get and why I get so nervous about accidentally offending someone when I text or post here.
I am actually getting a tiny bit anxious wondering if I have to now watch out for these things and consider that it might be an ominous warning.

I got 3 different interpretations of what she meant in my Whatsapp group alone. I think it is cryptic enough to be interpreted 20 different ways. I can't even figure out how the commenter interpreted it. Or even if it's just banter. I think I've spent too much time on it. My conclusion is pretty much any response to something that cryptic is acceptable.

I think that we are interpreting the commenter differently. I thought that they meant that if their friend randomly texted "i love you" they literally wouldn't do anything even if they suspected suicide.
i don't have a social circle but if I made a social media account with family and friends, I doubt 61 people would like a post saying I felt suicidal 🤷‍♂️ but I do understand your point. The devil is in the detail
