I got a shotgun for the exclusive purpose of ending it if I need to, but I live in an urban area and don't want to call attention to myself. I just want to pull the trigger and find out if it fires- no car to go to a shooting range/not comfortable with a big old shotgun on the bus or in an uber.
I was thinking I could use all the firework noise over the fourth of july to mask a negligent discharge? Just going outside and shooting into the dirt in the middle of the night to make sure it fires, then picking up the casing real fast. Is this a dumb idea or would this work?
