Just asking. I don't want to end up paralyzed, I just want to die. 48 metre bridge over water. Will I die in impact or drown?

I personally know of people who survived a golden gate bridge jump of over 200 feet 🌹💔

I also know someone who jumped from a slightly shorter height and survived

I wonder if the proverbial millstone would help in case the impact wasn't enough?

Chances of survival are rather slim.
People have survived such falls but they are in a very small minority.

Hitting the water from that height at the speed you are falling will cause major trauma to your body. If you are lucky you'll be unconscious and die of those injuries and/or drown.

Not so lucky you'll drown with a broken mess of bones whilst in some level of consciousness. Still, you'll drown quick.

The only benefit of water would be that you might be able to drown afterwards if the impact was not enough. It seem really scary however

Even some people say it's not the fall that gets you, and it's the sudden stop at the end, i would rather prefer solid ground instead of water, even if i have to search a place in the next cities or farther.
I think i would be confortable with 45+ meters (150+ feet) into a solid surface

In case second thoughts or SI crises appear, then i probably would try doing like that guy one year ago in New York who got nside a big Hotel, took the service elevator and jumped from the roof 229 meters (750 feet) distance from the ground. His body splited in half with the impact , in my case i wouldnt need this extra.

Gloglo confirms , there were 36 unsuccessful cases with Golden Gate bridge, the most mediatic was a Kevin Hines who after surviving impact and a drowning thanks to the help of a sea lion and then the cost guard that (un) luckely for him were preety close

Im not particulary enthusiast of the method but in case i had to choose i would go 100% sure with the good old hard ground
Even if the 36 unsuccessful correspond to 1% rate, i would rather prefer not to deal with a broken spine or with the drowning method right after the fall , which by the way is one of my last down three

Most of the time i tend to neglect the 1% , assuming it will not include me, but in this case i would not forget to make sure first if the landing ground is suitable enough to make this experience smoothed as can be and prevent it to turn into the Worst suicide ever
