Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Which one would you choose? The button would only work when you press it and willingly. You can press it whenever, no expiry date.

Hard question, 40000 will be enough to afford the surgeries I need, but even after all that I still have a boatload of mental illness to go with.
Though I'd probably take the 40k for now, and see how it goes from there. I always have the choice to CTB whenever I like. Id be a much harder question if its 40000 and never CTB or button though

I chose the 40k in the poll but realised there will be taxes and my mother will take away all that money, insulting me in the progress. It is also far from enough to start a new life with my partner. so I think I will just lay the 40k back and press the button.

40k. Can give it to my family and use the money to buy materials that can be used to commit suicide (guillotine) and move out of home. Buying an arsenal is out of the question

The money, so I'll afford it to my mom. I don't need this button for finding peace, I'll look for another way. Even tho the idea of a painless death is very attractive but my family is more important.

The nonexistent have no need for money so I don't get why one would go for the money option when in fact to die solves everything as we won't even have awareness of the fact that we are gone. It isn't like money could ever change the fact that suffering is inevitable in life and I personally could never wish to associate with existing at all, it's something that I view as being so unnecessary and useless having the ability to exist in this world.

All life leads to nowhere but death so having the ability to exit instantly and painlessly would be the best possible scenario next to never existing at all.

Definitely the button- I'm from the UK- so- that's around £33,000. Considering the average person needs around £25,000 per year to live comfortably- that won't even sustain you for 2 years- without slaving away working. Make it £33 million and it might be worth it!

Well, the killing button is very similar to the trigger of a gun isn't it? For 40,000$ I think I could purchase several guns of various gauges, so I'll pick the dollars then buy three guns.

I'm taking the 40k. It wouldn't last long at all, but it could give me a chance at happiness. I have nothing now, and my physical health is in shambles, making it hard for me to do anything. Or I'd just buy a ton of food. Either works. I'm sick of starving. If that doesn't fix anything, then I continue my plans to CTB. As peaceful as possible hopefully.

40K is way too little for it to be worth it. You also didn't specify the currency, so what if it's 40K in ZIMBABWEAN DOLLARS?!?! That's about $124 USD.

The button all the way

40k of course. Game breaker for me as my main problem right now is economic. Moreover: with 40k i could buy SN or risk to get N. 2 problems solved at time

The button . Even 40 billion dollars won't stop old age. Stroke , cancer ,alsheimers etc . You still have to feed this horrific animal body 3 times A day etc. People have no idea a human body is just trillions of monstrous cells.

40k isn't even enough to buy a house. That's too little money to fix what is fixable in my life. And what haunts me the most isn't fixable. I'd rather die.

The button. Money can buy many things, but can't buy love, friends, appreciation from peers, and this is what I am starved of.
Besides, the chance to ctb painlessly and immediately is worth more than $40 k. It is inestimable to me.

40k doesn't really move the needle for me unfortunately so I'd take the button. 400k and I'd probably have enough to buy some land and build a cabin in the woods to live the rest of my life that way.

Definitely the button, no doubt about it. I don't believe that money alone will solve all my (existential and personal) problems. Sure, money may make life easier, or find better options to CTB (or cope like most people do), but in the end, mortality and death is inevitable and I'd rather be in control of when, where, and how I go rather than let the elements, nature, illnesses, other people, and/or other factors dictate my fate.

Also, since I grew up in a middle class family, while I have my basic necessities met, I still do not find life enjoyable, tolerable on good days and on bad days, it is still shit. Therefore, non-sentience and death would be the ultimate solution and conclusion towards the problem of existence and suffering itself.

What if the remote with the button on it was Zimbabwean too? Maybe it'd only work if you were in the bounds of the country itself. Then you'd wish you had the money to fly out there. Lose-lose.
