Does anyone know about the reliability of using a large disposable N2O tank with a pressure regulator? PPHB says 2L of N is sufficient. 3.3 seems to close to the recommended number to provide results.

The amount of Nâ‚‚O is determined by its mass, not the volume of the cylinder where it's stored in the liquid form. In particular, 2 kg of Nâ‚‚O expand to approximately 1 mÂł of gas at the normal pressure. This volume should suffice for many methods based on maintaining steady gas flow.
