• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

With Ofcom really overstepping lately, I thought this would be a good time to share this research paper I found. I was going to do a full summarized analysis, but I'm busy with other things at the moment, so I just don't have the time right now.

In short, this paper finds that users who stay longer on this forum tend to be better off mentally than they were when they first joined. I'm simplifying a lot here, so please read the paper.

Here's the paper's DOI: https://doi.org/10.36190/2022.69

That is so interesting. I've only been here a couple days and I already feel less suicidal because of the sense of community. I can't wait to read the article. Thank you for sharing.

this is super interesting! and I'd say, at least for myself and perhaps others now as well, that it's very true.

I just realized that the author, Jane Dilkes, is from the University of Birmingham. Which is in the United Kingdom.

The irony. Lol.

Upon review of the study, it has become quite clear to me that I better get the hell out of here, lest I will become a non-suicidal "normie", and thats the last thing I want to be.

You've already passed the 100th post threshold. It's too late. Accept your fate.

Oh, absolutely. This is just more of a wake-up call to the mental health world that suicide topics shouldn't be met with such censorship. It only makes things worse.

Though, if any mental health professional or government actually listens is another thing entirely . . .

"There is evidence to suggest that the greater social threat currently may be to ban the forum." SO TRUE~!!! >w<

I want to read through this more! hehe~ even tho I'm not in the data sample! :(((((
