Personally, I have been diagnosed with major depressive disorder, severe anxiety, childhood related PTSD, and Borderline Personality Disorder.
How can you put a label on a brain. The most complex organ in the known universe. We all have cognitive compasses that points us to ethier neuroticism or contentment. Everytime I see a new psychiatrist, they label me as "bi-polar". It's a catch all term that I have to defend against because I don't have "good days". Never had a manic episode ether.
An honest psychologist should ask -"does your life suck, is it mediocre, or is it decent? And why?" Simple as that. You don't need any "schooling" to figure out if someone's life sucks or not. People are making way too much money off of complexities that don't need to exist.
