Here is an article just recently about suicide rates rising and continuing to rise. Ugh, pro-lifers are so delusional. No shit suicide rates have been rising. Pro-lifers refuse to acknowledge that some of the reasons suicide rates have gone up significantly over the last few decades are due to the shitty life circumstances that society has created for the masses. They plug their ears, cover their eyes, and pretend that the problem is this mental illness and irrationality rather than accept and (try to) tackle the external, societal problems.

Finally, don't forget their obligatory number at the bottom of the article. Ugh there really is no hope for these pro-lifers, not only do they refuse to see the other side, they are too indoctrinated in their beliefs and values and anything to question it or oppose it.

Suicide is not a problem. It is a choice. Rather than focusing on preventing suicide with laws and other BS, they really need to think about the garbage society they created causing people to want to suicide.

These articles are feel good pieces. The only way to address the 'Problem of suicide' is to acknowledge that suicide is a fundamental right, and that what needs to be addressed is why do we have a society and economic system that has suicide rates as high as they are.

They want to further the stigma and continued persecution of people with mental illness, while doing double talk.about how they are trying to fix it.

Remember. Many of the same people who try to 'Save you' from committing suicide due to their religious beliefs, also voted for the people who promised to privatize the healthcare industry, gut mental healthcare, and allow healthcare costs to balloon the way they did.

Fuck those people.

I do wonder, like within another decade or so, when the rates have gotten even higher and a greater amount of people have taken their lives, would society sing a different tune perhaps?
