If I could sleep all day I would be in hog heaven. I love the night. Waking
up early makes me want to drown in my sorrow.

I've noticed a new symptom recently. The dreams I have right before I wake up sometimes make me dream of some negative irl event that causes me to wake up feeling depressed from them. Like I wake up and realize that the dream isn't real, but I'm rattled emotionally by perceiving it to be real while I dreamt.

Often when I wake up I feel that something is terribly wrong with me.
There are even some thoughts which never usually come when I am fully awake.
I would prefer not to sleep at all, because every time I become awake everything like nullifies and returns to the same bad level.
The days are much shorter when I fall asleep and I often realize that nothing was done the previous today like any other days.
Insomnia makes me feel a bit better, but it is physically hard.
So yes, I don't like to wake up. When I am sleepy I am not extremely depressed, but when I wake up, the cycle continues again and again.

Definitely. I'm the most depressed when I wake up, but I still want to sleep all the time. Of course, I work third shift, so it's usually already dark when I wake up too. Like someone else said, my dreams lately have also caused uneasy feelings upon waking. I've always suffered from nightmares and night terrors, but lately they've felt different. They have this painful nostalgia attached to them and it makes me even more depressed. Even though I've always been a night owl and prefer the night, lately my depression is much worse after dark. I wake up really anxious too, but it goes away quickly. The depression usually takes an hour or two to get better, but then the anxiety spikes again. When the anxiety starts to fade, the depression comes back. That's just how it is for me. When I'm less depressed, I'm more anxious. When I'm more anxious, I'm less depressed. Then there are the waves when they equally overlap which is particularly fun. No peace.

Sometimes, normally the mornings are the best time of the day for me. Sometimes I wake up and everything feels Okay, even good. Until I remember the situation I'm in then it's all downhill from there.

Night time for me is the worst, my head starts to implode as soon as I start feeling fatigue and by the time I get to lie in bed my demons are out in full force. That's why I drink, it dulls my mind a little.

I can't remember a time anymore when I haven't woke up depressed & suicidal. I've been awake most of the night. I tried to sleep … it only lasted a couple hours.
When I'm off and I wake up... I feel tired and want to go back to bed a few hours later.

I have a similar experience. Usually, my dreams are just extremely depressing. Does anyone else have recurring ctb dreams?

Really knocks you off center to wake up having just ctb but in a dream. I wonder if that's what reincarnation feels like.

Yes, one of the first things I think when I wake up is how I wished I died in my sleep. Sleeping is one of my favorite things, it's the only time when I get peace. Then when I wake up the nightmare starts all over again.

Yup. I wake up feeling peaceful, and then the dread just comes flooding in. Sometimes I take a sleeping pull and just go back to sleep so I can be free again just for a little bit longer.

It varies. Some days I wake up energized and full of zeal, then other days I just lie in bed staring at the ceiling or trying to fall back asleep as long as possible so I don't have to wake up because the prospect of facing the day is so dreadful.

I think I might be bipolar, though, so maybe that explains the stark contrast :\
