I know this is mentioned a lot. But seriously, I want to get it clear in my head.
According to resources on here the only way to effectively use wrist cutting as a method is to cut deeply and vertically up the arm. It has been said it's really hard to cut deeply enough to ctb that way. Seriously has no one cut across the wrist deeply, be it in a bath or taking aspirin or whatever and not succeeded? I am a cutter/ self harmer and getting more towards wrist cutting and it does bleed a fair amount when I go near that area. I'm starting to wonder if it's my method. Warm bath, benzos, aspirin, music, oblivion,... would this never work?

Sounds awful, friend.
Sometimes i hate myself so much that i feel like harming myself, but i don't think i would ever muster the courage to do it.
It seems so painful just thinking of it.
I'm such a coward, no wonder i'm still alive, lol.

The main issue with horizontal cutting is tendons. You cut them as well as veins/arteries and that renders a hand useless, so cutting both wrists that way is almost impossible. Thats why the vertical cut is preferred, you dont cut the tendons so you still have use of your hands for the second cut. I am sure that I read somewhere that just cutting one wrist means death can be a long time coming.

Its not a 100% fail, but its setting you up to be either found and saved or found and sectioned. Please be certain you want to try this way before you do anything.

Its not that it means 100% failure its just that there isn't a high rate of success. Chances are youd end up in a hospital or the like which is the worst place for people like us

I just gotta ask: aspirin? I really don't think that will take away the pain. It's like a sweetie. You'd need something much, much stronger. I feel like if you did it would be easier to do, as well. IDK though.

I meant aspirin as a blood thinner and to slow clotting x

It can work, but you'll need to cut around 3-5 centimeters (2 inches) deep (well, how deep depends of your body fat and muscle, but that's the average), 5/10 cm (4 inches) long and "move" or cut the vein, as the artery needed to cut is under it.

You'll need to go for the radial artery, but you can try to cut in other places, like the femoral artery, brachial and ofc the carotid. Here's a video:

Using aspirin might work as well as some benzo to make you sleepy if you'd do it in the bath. As an ex cutter I never did any damage really because of the pain xx

Its better to find a other way.
This is not peaceful way to die and very painful.

So first think before you choose a method.

I've cut deeply and lost sensation in my hand permenantly but IMO if you want to succeed by cutting, the femoral artery in the thigh is the best option

The radial artery is small in size, the body itself causes vasoconstriction to decrease blood loss. Unlikely to work. To alleviate pain at the cut site, lidocaine can be used.
