I am thinking about cutting my tibial artery. I have read a handful of articles where it has been fatal. From suicides to accidents. Even a poor kid who had a soccer injury where it was somehow severed without his skin being cut died from it. I saw one article of a suicide in India and the picture showed that you will thoroughly bleed out. What I need to know is that if I ice the spot where I am going to cut into to numb it, will the artery then be more prone to clotting up or not bleeding enough. Any input is greatly appreciated.

If you cut an artery, it's pretty much game over. Ice won't make a difference. Very painful regardless though

There's really no clotting to happen if you sever an artery. Too much pressure. Watching the arterial spray might be neat, though.

I had just read a bunch about how the radial artery will clot, or otherwise shut down and that's why cutting your wrists turns out to be not a good method. From what I've seen from the tibial artery being cut it sure looks like it bleeds like mad.

He didn't say he was going to cut the radial.
